Carry that weight 2020
26.3 miles, 39kg carried by each participant in recognition of the 39 lives lost to suicide in Liverpool in 2019.
What's it all about?
Since 1992, World Mental Health Day has been recognised annually on 10thOctober.
To commemorate the occasion, we at Lightbody Health CIC have decided to set ourselves a challenge.
In 2019, 39 people in Liverpool lost their lives to suicide.
Brian and Paul will be walking 26.3 miles (full marathon distance) along the coastal roads from Southport to Liverpool John Lennon Airport carrying 39kg in weight each.
Each kg symbolises a life lost and the heavy burden carried by people struggling with mental health.
All monies raised will go towards the development of our very own intervention therapy ‘Walk and Talk’ groups.
The aim is to raise £1000!
